How to Access Services
All Pearson Library patrons must have a Cal Lutheran-issued ID card to access the building and services.
Library spaces and resources are intended primarily for the use of current students, faculty, and staff of California Lutheran University. Visitors are welcome to the space, and Pearson Library staff and student employees will do their best to help with every patron's unique needs.

All currently enrolled Cal Lutheran and PLTS students have full access to the library's services:

- Interlibrary Loan
- Printing/Scanning

Library printers are programmed for student use, so faculty and staff wishing to print are encouraged to do so in their respective offices or departments. Emeriti Faculty maintain their faculty access and can contact Academic Affairs for more information on Emeriti Faculty Resources.
Cal Lutheran and PLTS graduates have modified access to library services:

To obtain an Alumni ID card, visit Campus Safety to ensure Pearson Library access is enabled. Please consult the library's Alumni Resources Guide for more information on alumni privileges.
Members of the Community Leader Association (CLA) have modified access to the library's services:
- Borrowing
- Electronic Resources (In-Library Use)
If you are interested in joining CLA, please find more information from the Community Relations department. To obtain a CLA ID card, visit Campus Safety to ensure Pearson Library access is enabled.
Other visitors to Pearson Library without an ID card will be asked to sign-in at the Circulation Desk and can access in-building services.
