GSOE Student Professional Development Grants

The Center for Educational Excellence and Equity invites Graduate School of Education candidates to submit grant proposals for the professional development grant program.

The purpose of this grant fund is to encourage eligible GSOE graduate students to network, gain and share knowledge, conduct research, and present their work at professional conferences within their respective field of education. This fund supports travel connected to conference attendance and/or off-campus research, with preference given to students who are conducting or presenting their original research and/or ideas and who otherwise would not be able to attend due to their current financial need.

Students are eligible to apply for up to $1,000 in funding one time during their graduate studies that is reimbursed with proper document (e.g., receipts, completed reimbursement form). Expenses may include airfare, transportation, lodging at a commercial venue (e.g., hotel, AirBnB), conference/workshop registration and fees, poster printing, research-related costs (e.g., transcription services, poster printing).

Applications will be received in an ongoing basis, and will be reviewed by the GSOE faculty development committee in a first-come, first-served basis. $7,000 will be set aside for the first year of the program (2024-25); once that funding is exhausted, the grant application will be closed until the following academic year.
