Apply to Upward Bound
How much does it cost?
It's free! Upward Bound program activities are offered at no cost; accommodations, meals, transportation, tuition, field trips, and other program activities are all free.
Who is eligible to attend?
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident in the United States
- Potential scholars must be low-income, and first-generation college bound (first-generation is defined as neither parent or guardian having a baacalaureate degree)
- Homeless and or foster youth who have a high need for academic support and are at risk of academic failure
- Completed the 8th grade, is at least 13 years-old but not older than 19 years of age
- Have a strong desire and commitment to attend a four-year university or college
What are the steps to apply?
Please follow steps 1 and 2 below, and we'll guide you through the rest.
- Complete the Pre-screening Questionnaire (PSQ)
- Applications will be emailed out to eligible students who complete the PSQ
- Complete and submit the application
- Students admitted to the program will be notified via email
