International Day of Peace 2024:

Each year the CLU community & community members invested in peace, join together to celebrate the International Day of Peace. We gather on a Thursday closest to the UN General Assembly's official peace day (Sept. 21) which is devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of nonviolence and cease-fire. 

The Center for Global Engagement invites you to join the efforts of the international community as we focus on reaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and contribute to building sustainable peace.

 


Procession for Peace

Come join the Center for Global Engagement for International Day of Peace at the Procession for Peace. All are welcome to process for peace. We will celebrate different countries around the globe by carrying flags from the CGE and ending at the Samuelson Chapel.

If you would like to take carry one of our country flags please fill out THIS FORM to submit a request. [CGE has 20 flag poles for use.]


Reflections on Peace & CLU Peace Pole Rededication

Samuelson Chapel & Rose Garden | THURSDAY SEPT. 19  |  11:25 AM TO 12:15 PM

You are invited to join Campus Ministry and the Center for Global Engagement during chapel service to gather for a time of reflection, and prayers for peace. The service will be immediately followed by a minute of silence and a rededication ceremony of the CLU Peace Pole (in the Chapel Rose Garden).
