The backlash against "DEI" has been building for several years, but it has reached a new level recently. So how do organizations that are committed to equity and justice - both internally and in their community - continue to pursue this work? How do organizations balance their values with risk? During this session, we will review some of the limitations being placed on equity work by the Federal Administration, what it means for our organizations, and we'll share concrete strategies and frameworks to help organizations navigate these challenging times.

Many nonprofit leaders are feeling the strain of federal funding delays, political uncertainty, and shifting expectations from partners and funders. Strategic plans written even a year ago may feel out of step—or hard to act on. And for those without a plan in place, it can be difficult to know where to focus when so much feels unstable. This interactive workshop is designed to deliver practical guidance that will help leaders step back, take stock, and make thoughtful decisions about how to gain strategic clarity and move their mission forward.

The last few years have been a time of unprecedented change for our world and for our organizations. When you think about all of the changes your organization has been through, is going through, or or is about to go through, what feelings come up? What thoughts? What questions? This interactive workshop is designed to answer those questions and help manage the feelings that are associated with change. Participants will be introduced to the work of William Bridges, who draws a distinction between the changes that people and organizations go through and the psychological and emotional impact of that change on individuals, groups, and organizations.
