About

Edward Egros is a professor, broadcaster, writer and data scientist with several years of experience in the sports industry and academic environments.  Outside of his work with California Lutheran University’s School of Management, Edward is a contributor with FanDuel Sports Network West as a Sports Analytics Expert, a podcaster who appears on various sports betting, football and hockey platforms and a writer for his own Substack. Edward also gives talks across the country as to how broadcasters and communicators can enhance their presentations by embracing analytical tools.

Edward began his career as a local television reporter primarily covering the Dallas Cowboys, college football and Texas high school football.  It was during this time when he saw the rise in sports analytics in performance and public conversations.  He then became a regional and national sports analytics expert with FOX Sports, FanDuel, among several other media outlets.  Edward also spent one season with the NFL’s Next Gen Stats team as an analyst and creator of digital content that spotlit the league’s advanced metrics for upcoming games and matchups.  Edward’s goal is to help bridge the natural gap between sports communication and data science for working professionals and the next generation of sports industry leaders.
