About

I have been a school counselor for 11 years with experience at both the middle and high school levels in Ventura County. I have a passion for serving multilingual students. I also currently serve as the Graduate Student Representative for the Western Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.

I have served as an adjunct professor in the Counselor Education Department in the Graduate School of Education (GSOE) at California Lutheran University since 2019. The courses that I have taught are EDCG 504, 512, 521, 525, 529, 538, & 539.

Expertise

My current research interests include exploring undocumented student support (with a focus on undocumented student resource centers) by school counselors, and the use of this information to support their work and the training of future school counselors.
