Aspiring Administrators Academy

The Aspiring Administrators Academy offers an exceptional opportunity to gain valuable insights into school leadership, expand your professional network, and learn the steps to becoming a school administrator.  Led by local superintendents, district office staff, and California Lutheran University faculty, this comprehensive five-part series, beginning in November, is designed to empower future leaders.

Annual Events

First Generation Week

In the second week of November, ending with Counselor Education hosting the STRIVE Scholar First Gen Session on Friday. This program assists in the college application process, for those who may be the first in their families to pursue a higher education.

International and American Education Week

During the week before Thanksgiving, both International Education Week (IEW) & American Education Week (AEW) take place. International Education Week (IEW) is a national opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. The event is celebrated by Cal Lutheran's Center for Global Engagement. American Education Week is recognized by the California Department of Education.

National School Counseling Week

In the first week of February, it is National School Counseling Week, which the California Department of Education recognizes as a time "to focus public attention on the unique contribution of professional school counselors within U.S. school systems."

School Principals Day and National School Teacher Appreciation Week

The California Department of Education recognizes both School Principals Day on May 1 and National School Teacher Appreciation Week the first week in May.
